Abstract

This study explores the linguistic trends in Filipino education, focusing on pronunciation and pedagogy for senior high school students. As the use of Filipino language continues to evolve, understanding the linguistic challenges and instructional strategies that affect pronunciation is crucial for effective language teaching. Through a mixed-methods approach, including surveys, interviews with language instructors, and analysis of student performance in pronunciation tasks, the research investigates how various teaching methods impact students' proficiency in correct Filipino pronunciation. The findings reveal that while traditional teaching practices remain prevalent, modern pedagogical approaches, such as interactive and technology-driven activities, significantly enhance students' pronunciation skills. The study also highlights regional variations and the influence of multilingualism on pronunciation patterns, suggesting the need for adaptive teaching strategies that account for these factors. The research offers practical recommendations for educators aiming to improve pronunciation instruction and linguistic competence among senior high school students.
