THE INTERSECTION OF AI AND EDUCATION: TRANSFORMING ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING THROUGH EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract
This study explores the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and education, specifically focusing on how emerging AI technologies can transform English language learning (ELL). With AI’s potential to personalize learning experiences, enhance language acquisition, and provide real-time feedback, this research examines various AI-driven tools, such as language models, chatbots, and intelligent tutoring systems, that support language learners. Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys, case studies, and performance analysis, the study evaluates the effectiveness of these technologies in improving language proficiency, engagement, and motivation. Findings reveal that AI not only enhances learning efficiency by catering to individual needs but also addresses challenges such as limited access to qualified language instructors and diverse learning paces. The study offers insights into the future of language education, highlighting the opportunities and challenges in integrating AI into English language curricula for broader accessibility and equity.
