EMPOWERING EDUCATORS: THE IMPACT OF PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITIES ON INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP AND TEACHER GROWTH

Abstract
This study investigates the impact of professional communities on instructional leadership and teacher growth, emphasizing how collaborative environments foster continuous professional development. Professional learning communities (PLCs) have gained prominence as a strategy for improving teaching practices, enhancing leadership skills, and promoting a culture of shared learning among educators. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, including surveys, interviews, and case studies, the research explores how PLCs contribute to instructional leadership, peer support, and professional growth. The findings indicate that participation in PLCs not only improves teachers’ instructional practices but also strengthens their leadership abilities, boosts morale, and encourages a collaborative school culture. Additionally, the study highlights the critical role of school leaders in facilitating these communities and providing the necessary resources for sustained teacher development. The study offers practical insights for educational leaders seeking to implement or enhance PLCs to foster teacher empowerment and improve student outcomes.
