TEACHER LEADERSHIP AND EDUCATIONAL REFORM: EVALUATING ITS ROLE IN K-12 TRANSFORMATION IN THE PHILIPPINES

Abstract
This study evaluates the role of teacher leadership in driving educational reform and transformation in K-12 schools in the Philippines. It examines how teacher leaders contribute to the implementation of reforms, curriculum changes, and the improvement of student outcomes. Through interviews and surveys with teacher leaders, school administrators, and policymakers, the research identifies key factors that empower teachers to take leadership roles and the impact of their leadership on school practices and student engagement. The findings reveal that teacher leadership fosters collaboration, enhances professional development, and drives innovation within schools. The study offers insights into the importance of supporting teacher leadership as a catalyst for sustainable educational change in the Philippine K-12 system.
