On Lexical Exchange between the Uzbek and Tajik Languages

Abstract
This article analyzes the processes of lexical exchange between languages that occurred as a result of centuries-old connections between the Uzbek and Tajik peoples. Various aspects of word exchange in the dialects of the Uzbek and Tajik languages are examined, including kinship terms, body part names, professions, nature, and spatial concepts. The processes of verb borrowing from one language to another are also studied and analyzed.
