Semantic Classification of Ornithonyms in Uzbek and English Languages

Abstract

This article is about semantic classification of ornithonyms in Uzbek and English languages and about semantic groups, which can be divided into five groups as natural ornithonyms, mythological ornithonyms, artistic ornithonyms, ornithonyms with religious content and ornithonyms with symbolic meaning.
