Investigating the Effectiveness of Teacher-Led Inquiry Design in Enhancing Student Learning in STEM

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of teacher-led inquiry design in enhancing student learning in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects. A mixed-methods approach was used to assess the impact of inquiry-based learning strategies implemented by teachers on students' academic performance, critical thinking, and engagement. Data were collected from 200 students and 10 STEM teachers across various schools through pre- and post-tests, surveys, and classroom observations. The results indicate that students exposed to teacher-led inquiry design showed significant improvement in problem-solving skills and subject comprehension compared to traditional teaching methods. The findings suggest that inquiry-based approaches foster deeper learning and greater student engagement in STEM fields.
