Teacher Preparedness and Digital Resources: Navigating the Challenges of Educational Technology Implementation in Schools

Abstract
The integration of educational technology has become a cornerstone of modern teaching, yet its successful implementation hinges on teacher preparedness and access to digital resources. This study examines the challenges educators face in adopting technology in schools and the strategies employed to address these obstacles. A mixed-methods approach was utilized, incorporating surveys of 150 teachers and in-depth interviews with 20 school administrators across various educational levels. Findings reveal that while teachers recognize the potential of educational technology to enhance learning, many struggle with inadequate training, limited access to digital infrastructure, and a lack of institutional support. Teacher preparedness was identified as a critical factor, with gaps in technical skills and pedagogical integration strategies hampering effective use. Meanwhile, insufficient digital resources, such as devices and reliable internet connectivity, further exacerbated the issue, particularly in underserved schools. Teachers who succeeded in overcoming these barriers often relied on personal initiative, peer collaboration, and professional development opportunities. The study underscores the need for targeted interventions, including comprehensive teacher training programs, increased investment in digital infrastructure, and the development of contextually relevant teaching materials. Additionally, fostering a culture of digital literacy and innovation within schools is essential to ensuring sustainable technology adoption. By addressing these challenges, educators can more effectively leverage technology to meet the demands of 21st-century education.
