Perception of Environmental Cues and Its Influence On Pro-Environmental Behaviour Among Secondary School Students In Ohafia Lga, Abia State

In secondary schools in Ohafia L.G.A., Abia State, this study investigates environmental cues and their impact on pro-environmental behaviour. Five thousand forty (5040) students from chosen secondary schools make up the study's population, and a sample size of three hundred and sixty (360) respondents were chosen from secondary schools in the Ohafia Local Government Area using the Taro Yamene formula. The study's research design is a correlative one. Every secondary school student was categorised using the basic random sampling technique. Data was gathered using a self-structured questionnaire with a modified 4-point Likert scale. Data for the study were analysed using the mean and standard deviation. The T statistical table was used to test the hypotheses using the one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) at the 0.05 level of significance. The findings showed a strong inverse link between environmental cues and pro-environmental behaviour, with pro-environmental behaviour decreasing as environmental cues rise.
