The Concept of "Perseverance" in Uzbek and English and its Expression in the Language

Abstract
This article explores the concept of "perseverance" and how it is expressed linguistically in Uzbek and English. Through a comparative analysis of proverbs, idioms, and literary works in both languages, the study reveals similarities and differences in how perseverance is conceptualized and articulated. The findings suggest that while the core meaning of perseverance is consistent across the two languages and cultures, there are notable variations in the specific metaphors, imagery, and contexts used to convey the concept. The article discusses the implications of these findings for cross-cultural communication and language learning.
