DIGITAL AND MEDIA LITERACY IN MODERN EDUCATION: A PATHWAY TO CRITICAL THINKING AND STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

Abstract
This study explores the integration of digital and media literacy in modern education as a pathway to fostering critical thinking and enhancing student engagement. By examining the role of digital tools and media platforms in the classroom, the research highlights how these resources enable students to analyze, evaluate, and create information in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Using surveys and case studies from educators and students, the findings demonstrate that incorporating digital and media literacy into curricula not only improves critical thinking skills but also boosts active participation and collaboration. The study emphasizes the importance of equipping students with the competencies needed to navigate and contribute to a media-rich society.
