A STUDY ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURES IN PROMOTING CRISIS PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE

Abstract
This study examines the effectiveness of organizational cultures in promoting crisis preparedness and response, emphasizing the role of cultural elements in shaping organizational resilience during times of crisis. With increasing global disruptions, including pandemics, natural disasters, and economic downturns, the ability of organizations to respond swiftly and effectively to crises has become a critical success factor. The research uses a mixed-methods approach, involving surveys, interviews, and case studies, to explore how different organizational cultures—such as collaborative, hierarchical, and innovative cultures—affect crisis management capabilities. Findings reveal that organizations with a culture of collaboration, open communication, and flexibility tend to demonstrate higher levels of preparedness and more effective crisis responses. In contrast, rigid or hierarchical cultures often struggle with adaptability and timely decision-making during crises. The study underscores the importance of fostering a culture that prioritizes continuous learning, adaptability, and resilience to ensure that organizations are well-prepared for future crises. Practical recommendations are provided for leaders to cultivate organizational cultures that enhance crisis preparedness and response, ensuring long-term sustainability and stability.
