Abstract

This study explores the role of sport and physical activity in fostering educational and psychological development among students. Physical activity is widely recognized for its benefits to physical health, but its impact extends to cognitive, social, and emotional development, contributing to academic performance and overall well-being. This research investigates how structured sport and physical activity programs within educational settings influence skills such as teamwork, discipline, resilience, and self-confidence, all of which are essential for personal and academic success. Using a mixed-methods approach, data were collected through student surveys, academic performance metrics, and interviews with educators and coaches. Findings indicate that students engaged in regular physical activity exhibit improved concentration, enhanced social skills, and a positive attitude toward challenges, which are linked to academic and psychological growth. The study also underscores the importance of integrating physical activity into the curriculum as a strategy for supporting holistic student development. Recommendations are provided for educators and policymakers to promote sport and physical activity as integral components of educational frameworks, fostering well-rounded development in students.
