Abstract

This paper explores innovative financing models designed to support sustainable logistics operations, addressing the increasing demand for environmentally responsible practices in the logistics sector. As global supply chains evolve, the need for sustainable logistics solutions has become paramount, prompting the development of financial strategies that facilitate investment in green technologies, renewable energy, and efficient transportation systems. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of financing trends and performance metrics with qualitative insights from industry experts and practitioners. The findings reveal that innovative financing models, such as green bonds, supply chain finance, and public-private partnerships, are effective in promoting sustainable practices while enhancing operational efficiency. However, challenges such as limited access to capital for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the need for regulatory support remain significant barriers. The paper concludes with recommendations for policymakers and logistics providers to adopt and promote innovative financing solutions that foster sustainability in logistics operations, ultimately contributing to broader environmental and economic goals.
