Abstract

The article examines changes as a result of technological revolutions, entailing the introduction of new forms and models of labor, the obsolescence of any other forms and models, as well as broader changes in society. Artificial intelligence (AI) is having a significant impact on the well-being of the population. This influence is examined in the article from various angles, both positive and negative. By steering the use of new technologies towards welfare-enhancing innovation, and by managing the impact of technology on labor markets, we can increase not only productivity and incomes, but also life expectancy, which in itself can lead to higher GDP.
