ROLE OF ROLE-PLAYING PEDAGOGY IN LEADERSHIP TRAINING

Abstract

This study examines the role of role-playing pedagogy in enhancing leadership training, focusing on its effectiveness in developing key leadership skills such as decision-making, communication, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence. By simulating real-world scenarios, role-playing allows participants to experience and navigate complex leadership challenges in a controlled environment. The research investigates how this pedagogical approach contributes to leadership development across various sectors, including education, business, and public service. Through a combination of qualitative case studies and participant feedback, the study highlights how role-playing fosters active learning, encourages reflective thinking, and improves interpersonal skills. Furthermore, it explores how the interactive nature of role-playing enables participants to better understand leadership dynamics, manage conflict, and build collaborative teams. The study concludes that integrating role-playing into leadership training programs significantly enhances the practical application of leadership theories, preparing future leaders to effectively handle diverse organizational challenges.
