Influence of the Montessori Educational Environment on Learning Motivation in Preschool and Early Elementary Children

Abstract
The Montessori educational environment is renowned for fostering autonomy, creativity, and intrinsic motivation among children. This study explores the impact of Montessori-based learning settings on the motivation levels of preschool and early elementary school students. A mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data, was employed to evaluate motivation changes over a school year. Results indicate that children in Montessori environments exhibit higher levels of intrinsic motivation compared to those in traditional educational systems. This research contributes to a growing body of evidence supporting alternative pedagogical approaches in early education.
