- Abstract
- A PA-6 filling route was developed through thermal conversion of Fe(CH₃COO)₂ in an oil medium at 230–250 °C. Staged dosing, mixing and rapid cooling were integrated with compositional and spectral control. PA-55 contained 8.15 wt.% Fe₂O₃ equivalent and retained its amide I band at 1643.85 cm⁻¹. Comparative tribological analysis of PA-6/Fe gave linear wear of 97 μm/km in water versus 118 μm/km for bronze; in I-50 oil at 2 MPa, the bronze-to-composite wear ratio was 9.77. Composition selection was linked to the wear mechanism.
