Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of the lexical typology of Slavic languages. It is noted that a certain part of their vocabulary is of Proto-Slavic origin, thanks to which Slavs from different countries can understand each other to a certain extent. Over the centuries, the vocabulary of Slavic languages has developed and been enriched largely through borrowings. This process continues actively today, leading to new universals.
