The Impact of Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Styles on Employee Performance: A Quantitative Analysis of the Lebanese Banking Sector During Crisis

Abstract
This study explores the impact of emotional intelligence (EI) and leadership styles on employee performance within the Lebanese banking sector during a period of crisis. Using a quantitative approach, a survey was administered to employees across various banking institutions to assess the relationship between EI, leadership styles, and their impact on job performance. Data analysis reveals a significant positive correlation between high emotional intelligence and improved employee performance, particularly when supported by transformational and adaptive leadership styles. The findings suggest that leaders who exhibit strong EI can better manage crisis situations, fostering resilience and enhancing productivity within their teams. This research contributes to the understanding of how emotional intelligence and leadership influence organizational outcomes in times of crisis.
