The Methodology for Developing English Language Teaching for Students Based on Neuro-Linguistic Approach

Abstract
The psychological and emotional aspects of learning are frequently ignored by traditional English language teaching approaches, which can impede student engagement and language acquisition. By tackling obstacles like anxiety, low motivation, and fear of failure, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), a psychological method that links language, cognition, and behavior, provides creative strategies that support learners beyond the linguistic level. Although NLP has been used in organizational and therapeutic settings, little is known about how it might be systematically incorporated into language instruction, especially for English language learners. The purpose of this study is to improve student motivation, retention, communication abilities, and emotional resilience by examining the efficacy of NLP-based approaches in English language instruction. The results of performance surveys, student feedback, and classroom observations show that students' confidence, communication willingness, and memory retention have significantly improved. NLP strategies such as visualization, reframing, anchoring, and positive reinforcement helped learners reduce fear and embrace mistakes as part of the learning process. The study presents a dual cognitive-emotional approach that reframes the language learning experience, enabling students to internalize content more effectively while fostering a growth-oriented mindset. The results support NLP’s potential to transform traditional language classrooms into dynamic, student-centered environments. Language teachers and institutions are encouraged to incorporate NLP strategies into pedagogical frameworks to create more psychologically supportive and effective learning experiences.
